President & July - July 5, 2020 (wrote July 4)
I generally don't read the news but recently I did.
About July 3, I stand with President Trump about the issue at Mount Rushmore, even though I'm partially Native Indian.
I know about George Floyd's death. I agree that an uproar may be rightly the result. Even though I may not understand the full story, personally I believe the events that has led people to take down Christopher Columbus statues is going too far.
Additionally, it could be that tying African American cruelty to all racism is just inflating the bad situation of the Covid 19 pandemic into a worse situation. Covid 19 has created fear across this country. This could be the reason for the extra fuel that has been misplaced into the issue of racism overall. (I'm mostly speaking aside from the approx. dozen 'Confederate' statues taken down.) It may be, scared people just lashing out at everything, because they can't yet find a better way to handle the situation.
I give thanks to President Trump.
Even it seems there may be some dislike from people for the President while in court. (They have valid reasons, although I'm not a part of this crowd.) However, taking a different view I can understand that the President's attention is perhaps not on the present court case, while lives are being lost. I don't think it would be a surprise if the President who has his concerns and attention on the lives of the people is losing in court because he doesn't want to place his time on taxes right now. While we presently have a pandemic, thousands of lives are being lost daily but he's being called away into court.
I also can understand that people against you can make 5 tiny bumps on the face look like 5 big zits at just the right time, when they need to. So I think going after the financial and tax records at this time is unfair.
While one of the worst cases of human suffering is happening the one person that can actually do something about it is being tied up in courts. (About docs?)
Who knows how long the tax issue will keep him in court --
from actually helping people who need it now.
I like the concept of some kind of "temporary presidential immunity" at this time.
I believe President Trump can pull through just fine; Even though it could be tough though.
You know, you hear about these kinds of stuff. It might be a good thing if our country has our defenses in place, just in case another country tries to take advantage of us at this time.
I do believe if anyone can save this country it's Donald - from the virus and other threats.
That's my two cents.
